Twelve shop drawing disciplines, one submittal-ready standard
Each service below is staffed by detailers who work that trade daily - not generalists switching between disciplines. Every drawing set ships dimensioned, annotated, and cross-referenced for a clean first review.
POUR 01 · Structural
Complete steel detailing packages covering erection drawings, connection details, and piece-mark fabrication sheets for beams, columns, joists, and miscellaneous steel. We build to AISC 360 and AWS D1.1 conventions, coordinate bolt and weld callouts with the engineer of record, and produce material lists ready for mill order. Used for everything from Birmingham mid-rise cores to Huntsville industrial frames, our steel drawings are built in Tekla Structures or SDS/2 and exported to the format your fabricator's shop already runs on, cutting rework at the saw and press-brake stage.
AISC / AWS D1.1
POUR 02 · Architectural
Detailed architectural shop drawings for millwork, interior finishes, custom trim, and building envelope elements that translate design-intent drawings into fabrication-ready sheets. We coordinate reflected ceiling details, wall sections, and finish schedules so installers aren't left interpreting intent on site. Drawings are cross-checked against the architect's construction set for dimensional accuracy before release, and every sheet carries revision tracking so field changes stay documented through submittal, shop fabrication, and final installation walkthroughs.
AIA-aligned sheet sets
POUR 03 · MEP
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing shop drawings covering ductwork, piping, conduit routing, and fire protection layouts, coordinated across trades before they reach the field. We flag clashes between disciplines during drafting rather than after fabrication, produce spool and hanger details subcontractors can build from directly, and align every sheet with the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes your Alabama jurisdiction actually enforces - whether that's a state-owned facility under DCM review or a privately permitted commercial build.
Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing / Fire
POUR 04 · Concrete
Precast concrete and reinforcing steel shop drawings covering panel elevations, connection hardware, embed layouts, and rebar placement schedules for slabs, walls, and foundations. Bar bending schedules follow ACI 318 detailing conventions and are formatted for direct use by rebar shops and precast plants. We coordinate lifting-point and bracing details with the structural engineer so erection sequencing is built into the drawing set rather than solved on site, which matters on Alabama's fast-moving industrial and data-center pours.
ACI 318 detailing
POUR 05 · Millwork
Custom millwork and cabinetry shop drawings for reception desks, nurses' stations, retail fixtures, and built-in casework, dimensioned down to hardware and joinery detail. Drawings include material and finish call-outs, section cuts through cabinetry runs, and elevation views coordinated with electrical and plumbing rough-ins so cutouts land correctly the first time. Whether the shop is running CNC or hand-built joinery, our sheets are formatted to move straight from approval to the cutting floor without a second markup pass.
Fabrication-ready joinery detail
POUR 06 · Glazing
Aluminum storefront, curtain wall, and glazing shop drawings covering mullion layouts, anchor details, weep and drainage paths, and glass unit schedules for commercial and mixed-use facades. We detail thermal breaks and structural silicone joints to the system manufacturer's approved details, coordinate wind-load anchorage with the structural set, and produce elevation and section sheets glazing contractors can submit for approval without additional engineering back-and-forth on Gulf Coast wind-exposure projects.
AAMA / manufacturer system details
POUR 07 · Openings
Door, window, hardware, stair, and handrail shop drawings that carry every opening from schedule to fabrication, including frame types, hardware sets, and fire-rating labels. Stair and railing packages cover stringer layouts, baluster spacing, and guard-height compliance checked against IBC and Alabama Residential Building Code thresholds where applicable. Every schedule cross-references room and door numbers back to the architectural set, so field crews and inspectors are working from one consistent numbering system on commercial and residential projects alike.
Schedule-to-fabrication accuracy
POUR 08 · Fabrication
General fabrication and manufacturing drawings for custom metalwork, equipment supports, platforms, and one-off assemblies that don't fit a standard trade category. We work directly from sketches, field measurements, or reverse-engineered parts when no source drawing exists, producing dimensioned fabrication sheets a shop can quote and cut from immediately. This service is popular with Alabama fabricators and manufacturers supplying the state's automotive and aerospace supply chains, where turnaround speed often matters as much as precision.
Custom / one-off assemblies
POUR 09 · BIM
Shop drawings generated from coordinated Revit and Navisworks models, so structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines are clash-checked before any sheet is issued for fabrication. We build to LOD 300-400 for fabrication-level detail, extract shop drawings directly from the federated model to keep drawings and model in sync, and deliver clash-detection reports alongside the drawing set. This BIM service suits design-build teams and general contractors running BIM execution plans on Alabama's data-center and manufacturing projects.
LOD 300-400 · Revit / Navisworks
POUR 10 · Review
Independent shop drawing review and redline services for general contractors and architects who need drawings checked against the contract documents before submittal. We compare dimensions, specifications, and code references line by line, mark up discrepancies with clear callouts, and return a coordinated response so review cycles move faster. This service also covers multi-trade coordination, resolving conflicts between structural, architectural, and MEP shop drawings before they reach the field on complex Alabama commercial projects.
QC redlines & markups
POUR 11 · Submittals
As-built drawings and permit-ready submittal packages that document what was actually built, formatted to meet the requirements of the Alabama jurisdiction reviewing the permit. We update construction sets from field markups and RFIs, verify dimensions against site conditions, and assemble submittal packages with the cover sheets, schedules, and stamps a plan reviewer expects. This service is used heavily by contractors closing out projects in jurisdictions with active building departments, including Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, and Montgomery.
Permit & closeout documentation
POUR 12 · Outsourcing
Ongoing shop drawing outsourcing for general contractors, subcontractors, and fabrication shops who need overflow detailing capacity without hiring in-house drafters. We plug into your existing workflow, standards, and title-block templates, take on individual projects or standing monthly volume, and scale up or down as your Alabama project pipeline shifts. Pricing is quoted per drawing or per project, with rush turnaround available for submittal deadlines that can't move.
